On this type of application, steam is usually used up to temperatures of 200°C. Steam generators and fire-tube boilers are then well suited in these applications.
Nevertheless, one of the advantages with thermal oil is the ability to provide temperature in the range of +350°C to -40°C. This versatility is of primary importance in the case of exothermic reactions or for programming by steps, for which the system precisely controls the temperature variations in the reactor.

For the applications requiring a treatment of solvent vapours or exhaust of fine powder products, BABCOCK WANSON offer solutions with VOC Thermal Oxidisers in conjunction with heat recovery.
