Rigid packaging / Plastic film
During the manufacture of rigid packing, the steam demands are large.
BABCOCK WANSON responds specifically to this type of application with its
fire-tube boilers
and the installation of buffer tanks or accumulators.
The operations which consume large amount of live steam create high water consumption.
Large increases in total dissolved solids require an increase in blowdown. The effect of
the water quality on the heat balance of the boiler house is substantial; therefore BABCOCK WANSON
are able to offer water treatment plant
adapted precisely to this application.
During the manufacture of film, thermal oil heaters
provide an excellent solution for high temperature users and many other points of use at varying temperatures, both high and low.
The volatile compounds generated during the coating of film adhesives or in effluent gas from the manufacturing processes can be treated by
thermal oxidation, This is an attractive solution when this equipment is coupled with a
waste heat recovery boiler or thermal fluid heat recovery unit.
The processes being continuous, high boiler availability is essential. BABCOCK WANSON offers high availability and
maintenance contracts with 24-hour associated
technical support if selected.
