Direct combustion generators (from 174 to 11 600 kW and 1200°C)

The high temperature air heater series MIXBLOC® and GAS® are direct type generators, the combustion takes place either in the flow of air to be heated or in an external combustion chamber before introduction to the process air flow.

1- Up to 800°C - series MIXBLOC® :
the air is heated by an in duct air stream burner made up of standard elements. The combustion develops directly in the flow of the mass of air to be heated. The arrangement of the burner elements depends on the quantity of gas to be burnt and the geometry of the installation. The installation can be horizontal or vertical.

2- Up to 1200°C - series GAS® :
the air is heated in the double skin around the combustion chamber then it joins the combustion gases in the mixing tube in order to reach the desired temperature. The combustion chamber is covered with a refractory material with high content of alumina. All of these elements make it possible to have very high efficiencies (thermal efficiencies being for the burner of 100% of the LCV, gaseous fuel only).
