Odour and mist thermal oxidisers

BABCOCK WANSON odour oxidisers combine treatment of odours and generation of steam required by the industrial process in one system. They may also be used to heat air or thermal fluid.

Operating Principle :

Odours are processed in a thermal oxidiser at a temperature of 950°C for approximately 0.8 seconds. A heat recovery boiler recovers energy from the flue gas stream and feeds it back to the process using steam or thermal fluid. Dwell times are adjusted to suit process and local rules.

BABCOCK WANSON's offer includes :

  • recuperative thermal oxidisers - DEO series ;
  • thermal oxidiser and combined thermal fluid heater - LNHI Combi.

Benefits :

  • system overall efficiency over 95 % ;
  • odour destruction efficiency over 98 % ;
  • optimised investment and operating costs.
For all applications requiring heat production and where there is no conventional odour treatment system (such as biological treatment or chemical treatment) with equivalent performances.

Applications :

Any situation where undesirable odours represent a nuisance or problem with regard to environmental regulations. Typical applications : potato and snack frying, meat processing, rendering, coffee roasting, rubber industries...
