History
BABCOCK WANSON is a member of the CNIM Group and is the product of two great industrial ventures :
- one is the International BABCOCK and WILCOX organisation, specialist in the industrial power boilers since 1870 ;
-
- the other is the WANSON Group, specialists for industrial boilers of small and medium power and in the treatment of the air and water, since 1929.
BABCOCK WANSON acquired an extensive experience with the integration in the past of brands such as PARENT, BABCOCK, BLOCTHERM, DUQUENNE, FLUIDOTHERMUS, SEUM, LARDET, GOEMINE, COBRA, VAPOR.
1898 : Foundation of the French Company of Constructions BABCOCK & WILCOX.
1929 : Creation of the WANSON Company by Leon WANSON.
1951 : Foundation by Alfred PARENT of the company PARENT whose head office is in NÉRAC (Lot et Garonne).
1987 : PARENT is integrated into the WANSON group.
1988 : Creation of BABCOCK Entreprises by the regrouping of the boilers division from BABCOCK & WILCOX France and LARDET BABCOCK Company.
1989 : BABCOCK Enterprises acquired by Group CNIM.
1990 : Acquisition by CNIM of WANSON and creation of BABCOCK WANSON by regrouping WANSON with the similar activity of BABCOCK.
1992 : Acquisition by group CNIM of the Italian company ITALWANSON that becomes BABCOCK WANSON Italiana.
1998 : After creation by CNIM of a new subsidiary company in Central Europe, the BABCOCK WANSON Business unit comprises now: BABCOCK WANSON (France), BABCOCK WANSON Italiana (Italy), BABCOCK WANSON UK (United Kingdom), CYP BABCOCK WANSON (Spain), BABCOCK WANSON Caldeiras Lda (Portugal), BABCOCK WANSON AG (Swiss), BABCOCK WANSON Morocco and CNIM BABCOCK Central Europe.
