Investing in modern systems is not always possible, so Babcock Wanson offers attractive refurbishment and upgrade services for all Steam, Hot Water and Thermal Fluid Boilers, and the boiler house installation as a whole, to improve efficiency and reduce energy consumption.

• Repair and renovation of boilers of all types and all brands. Babcock Wanson offers in depth assessment of pressure equipment and associated ancillary equipment by inspection and performance of non-destructive testing to support it. This permits evaluation of the potential benefits of a boiler replacement or refurbishment work to existing equipment.
• Update of the automation and operating modes: The automation and operating controls of industrial boilers have developed a lot over recent years. Babcock Wanson is able to undertake an upgrade of existing boilers and equip them with less restrictive operating controls. Starting with an inventory of the boiler house, a detailed analysis of current controls and operation will lead to a costed proposal for upgrade works (PLC upgrades, sensor updates, fitting of high integrity and SIL rated controls and many other improvements)
