Acredito que o vapor para uso em processos, especialmente na ind\u00fastria aliment\u00edcia, tem um futuro de longo prazo, pois h\u00e1 muitas aplica\u00e7\u00f5es-chave &#8211; principalmente onde o aquecimento directo e indirecto s\u00e3o necess\u00e1rios simultaneamente &#8211; onde simplesmente n\u00e3o pode ser combinado.<\/p>\n<p>Antes de prosseguirmos, devo salientar que a Babcock Wanson fabrica sistemas de aquecimento de fluido t\u00e9rmico e geradores de vapor, portanto, o meu argumento a favor do vapor para certas aplica\u00e7\u00f5es n\u00e3o se baseia no nosso stock de produtos, mas nos nossos anos de experi\u00eancia em aquecimento de processos.<\/p>\n<p>Os geradores de vapor operam com o mesmo princ\u00edpio que outras tecnologias de gera\u00e7\u00e3o de vapor em que a \u00e1gua \u00e9 confinada num espa\u00e7o restrito e \u00e9 aquecida pela queima de uma fonte de combust\u00edvel, como g\u00e1s ou \u00f3leo. O calor \u00e9 transferido atrav\u00e9s das paredes dos tubos, aquecendo a \u00e1gua e criando vapor.<\/p>\n<p>Um sistema de aquecimento de fluido t\u00e9rmico consiste num aquecedor conectado \u00e0 tubula\u00e7\u00e3o de fluxo e retorno que pode fornecer calor a um ou mais usu\u00e1rios ou sistemas. Em vez de \u00e1gua correr pela tubula\u00e7\u00e3o, \u00e9 usado um fluido t\u00e9rmico como meio de transfer\u00eancia de calor.<\/p>\n<p>Muito do apelo dos sistemas de aquecimento por fluido t\u00e9rmico baseia-se na sua efici\u00eancia, tamanho compacto e facilidade de opera\u00e7\u00e3o. Os geradores de vapor, por outro lado, precisam de equipamentos de pr\u00e9-tratamento e condicionamento para preparar a \u00e1gua e proteger o equipamento de gera\u00e7\u00e3o de vapor contra incrusta\u00e7\u00f5es e corros\u00e3o, que podem ser dispendiosas. Um sistema de vapor tamb\u00e9m precisar\u00e1 de mais equipamentos associados do que aquecedores de fluido t\u00e9rmico, aumentando o custo e ocupando mais espa\u00e7o. Os sistemas de vapor tamb\u00e9m geralmente n\u00e3o s\u00e3o econ\u00f3micos quando a temperatura do processo \u00e9 superior a 200\u00b0 C. Por \u00faltimo, mas talvez o mais importante, um sistema de vapor raramente operar\u00e1 como um circuito totalmente fechado, portanto, sofrer\u00e1 maiores perdas gerais de calor devido \u00e0 mudan\u00e7a de fase (condensado para vapor e de volta para condensado). Todos esses s\u00e3o custos operacionais reais que n\u00e3o devem ser negligenciados ao decidir sobre a melhor solu\u00e7\u00e3o para uma determinada necessidade de aquecimento.<\/p>\n<p>No entanto, ao comparar os dois sistemas diferentes, \u00e9 importante n\u00e3o basear as suas considera\u00e7\u00f5es nas caldeiras de aumento de vapor tradicionais. Os geradores modernos de vapor tipo serpentina s\u00e3o realmente \u201coutro campeonato\u201d.
