Boilers for the Rubber, Plastics and Composite Industry

In rubber, plastic and composite manufacture there is often the need for high process pressures linked to high temperature for setting and curing the product. Accurate control of the process temperature can be paramount to process success. Babcock Wanson meets these needs with specially adapted engineering solutions and services to ensure your process functions efficiently, smoothly and safely.

Products Recommendations

For the rubber, plastics and composite industry, it can be necessary to have very flexible steam production as the use of autoclaves often demand an intermittent and peaky steam supply. Babcock Wanson responds to this requirement with boilers incorporating innovating active control loops and water/burner regulation.

Babcock Wanson equipment used in this industry includes Fire Tube Boilers, Steam Generators and Thermal Fluid Heaters as well as the installation of water treatment equipment and services.

For steam generation the effect of the water quality on the heat balance of the boiler house is of primary importance, particularly where there are widely varying levels of condensate return.

For a Powder Impression Moulding application, Babcock Wanson designed and built the entire heating and cooling process with a Thermal Fluid Heater at its heart. The production process is fed with pulverised waste mixed plastics and requires heating following a fixed profile to melt the plastic, held at a close control temperature for a period and then cooled at a fixed profile to ensure a perfect product.

Services Available

To ensure high operational availability of the equipment, Babcock Wanson is committed to offer service and technical aid which can be customised according to the client needs.
